Obituary





Jason Carl Magnell, 29, of Gully, MN died on Saturday, July 15, 2000 as a result of an automobile accident near Gully. Arrangements with Johnson Funeral Service in Oklee.

Funeral services will held on Wednesday, July 19, 2000 at 10:30 AM in Ebenezer Lutheran Church rural Oklee, MN with Reverend Robert Paulson Officiating. Burial will be held in the Ebenezer Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at the Oklee High School Gym and also one-hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Jason Carl Magnell was born December 21, 1970 in Thief River Falls, MN son of Charlie and Corlan (Sorenson) Magnell. He was baptized at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee. Jason attended Oklee High School graduating in 1989. He attended two years in Aviation Mechanics at AVTI in Thief River Falls, MN. He married Toni Melugin at rural Oklee. He lived in rural Gully and was employed by Pine Lake Wild Rice of Gully.
Jason enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and snowmobiling. Most of all Jason enjoyed spending time and playing with his children. He also enjoyed farming and raising potatoes and making people smile.
He is survived by his wife Toni, 2 daughters Krista and Brooke and one son Jacob all at home. His mother Corlan and step dad Robert Kleinschmidt of Oklee and step grandparents Art and Jean Kleinschmidt of Harlingen TX; brothers Randy (Nancy) Magnell of Oklee, MN Wesley Magnell of Oklee, MN and Dennis (Danielle) Magnell of Fosston, MN; one sister Annette Magnell of Plummer, MN: 11 nephews, 7 nieces and 1 great nephew. Mother in law Pat Glick of Oklee, MN and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father Charlie Magnell, his grandparents Harry and Agnes Sorenson and Otto and Sylvia Magnell; father in law Mike and 2 cousins Lance and Lucas Mandt.
