Jeanette Hamerlinck, 79 died Sunday, October 02, 2005 at her residence in Thief River Falls, MN.


Jeanette Ione Branigan was born April 20, 1926, in a log cabin at Itasca State Park, MN the daughter of Harry T. and Clara (Teigland) Branigan. She was baptized June 6, 1926 at Bear Creek School, Clearwater County, MN and confirmed June 23, 1940 at Alida Lutheran Church, Alida, MN. She graduated from Bagley High School and from the Cadet Nurse Corp program at Fairview Hospital, Minneapolis, MN, as a Registered Nurse.

On April 8, 1950, Jeanette was united in marriage to Francis Frank Hamerlinck in Bemidji, MN. She worked at hospitals in Bagley, Bemidji and Thief River Falls. She also taught in the Licensed Practical Nurse program at Thief River Falls AVTI.

Jeanette was active in Trinity Lutheran Church and her community. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survived by husband, Francis Frank , Thief River Falls, MN; 4 children, Barbara (Dan) Johnson, Brainerd, MN, Michael (Rose) Hamerlinck, St. Paul, MN, Mark (Jan) Hamerlinck, Savage, MN and Jeffrey (Julie) Hamerlinck, Laramie, WY; 6 grandchildren, Berit (Greg) Rosenberg, Brainerd, MN, Ben Johnson, Duluth, MN, Gabriela Hamerlinck, St. Paul, MN, Katie Hamerlinck, Savage, MN, Moira Hamerlinck and Claire Hamerlinck, Laramie, WY; a sister-in-law, Connie Branigan, Mahtomedi, MN; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Preceded in death by parents, a sister Ruth, in infancy and a brother, Howard Branigan.


Burial will be 1 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
