Jeanne Bruggeman, 77, died on Sunday, January 09, 2011 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 PM, Thursday, January 13, 2011 at St. Bernards Catholic Church, Thief River Falls, MN. Burial will follow in St. Bernards Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Thursday.

Jeanette Marlene was born on April 11, 1933 in Harvey, ND to Hjalmer Jay and Emma (Byklum) Bugge. As an infant she moved to Thief River Falls where she attended school and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1951.

On November 17, 1951, Jeanne was married to David Edward Bruggeman at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN. To this union four sons were born: Mitchell, Brian, Dean, and Jerry. They started their family near Hazel, MN and made their home on a farm in Smiley Township where they raised crops and operated a dairy farm.

After her family had grown, she attended school for secretarial training. She worked at several places in Thief River Falls including: Northland Foods, The Rex, Hardees and Digi Key. She lived in Valley Home for a short time, and has lived at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine for the past 10 years.

Jeanne kept an immaculate house, everything had its place. She liked growing a huge garden and canning its produce. She kept busy with sewing and ceramics. She also was a good cook. She was the queen of shopping and dressed to a T . Family and friends gathering together made her happy.

She is survived by four sons: Mitch (Roxanne Chute) Bruggeman, Brian (Annette) Bruggeman, Dean (Dayna) Bruggeman, all of Thief River Falls, MN, Jerry (Delia) Bruggeman, Brainerd, MN, 9 grandchildren: David Bruggeman, Kelsie Hanson, Ryan (Kayla) Bruggeman, Stephanie (Cody Peters) Bruggeman, Brandon Bruggeman, Landon, Broden, Elle, and Matia Bruggeman, 3 great grandchildren: Andrew Olson, Isabella Dicken, Nora Bruggeman, step mother Mathilda Bugge, Atlanta, GA, sister Barbara Wallace, Reno, NV.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Shirley Ann Thygeson.
