Jeffrey Boutain, 42, died on Monday, August 21, 2006 at his home in rural Red Lake Falls, MN.


Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 25, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Tim Bushy presiding. Burial will be in St. Dorothy Catholic Cemetery in Dorothy, MN

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 24, 2006 at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service on Thursday evening and at the church for one hour prior to service on Friday.

Jeffrey Jacob Boutain was born on September 19, 1963 in Crookston, MN, the son of Dale and Margaret (Schafer) Boutain. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Dorothy Catholic Church in Dorothy and attended school in Red Lake Falls, MN, graduating from Lafayette High School in 1982. He farmed and raised dairy cattle with his father and brother. Jeffrey also worked for many area farmers, Northern Pride in Thief River Falls and was presently employed at the American Crystal Sugar Company in Crookston, MN.

Jeffrey enjoyed hunting, fishing, his land, animals and nature and being outdoors. He was a good story teller and had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey is survived by one sister, Lori (Lyndon) Schultz of Red Lake Falls, MN; one brother, Barry (Yvette) Boutain of Red Lake Falls, MN; nieces and nephews: Jaimie, Robynn, Scott, Kelly, Barette and Malanna; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
