Jeffrey Scott Meyers, 54 of East Grand Forks, MN formerly of Thief River Falls, MN died suddenly on Monday, April 10, 2017 at his residence.

Funeral service will be 3:00 PM on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Larry Myhrer officiating.  Burial will follow at Landstad Cemetery rural Thief River Falls, MN.  Visitation will be held from 1:30 PM until time of service.

Jeffrey Scott Meyers was born on July 18, 1962 in Thief River Falls, MN the son of Charles and JoAnn Marie (Sevre) Meyers.  He was baptized at First Baptist Church in Thief River Falls.  He attended Knox Elementary, Franklin Middle and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1982.

Jeffrey enjoyed sports especially the Minnesota teams.  In high school he was student manager of the hockey team and was a big fan of professional wrestling.  He also followed NASCAR and listening to country music.

Following high school, Jeffrey went to work at ODC in Thief River Falls for a short time before moving to East Grand Forks, MN.  Most recently, he worked at Applebees, Mama Maria's and Hornbachers.

Jeffrey was a happy go-lucky guy and liked to visit with people.

Jeffrey was able to maintain his independence because of the wonderful, caring co-workers and the staff at RIMSEALS.

Survivors include his father, Charles of Thief River Falls; sister, Paula (Rosalind Lewis) Meyers of Riverside, CA; nephew, James Lewis-Meyers; niece, Alyssa Lewis-Meyers; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn in 2009; and his grandparents.
