Jennifer Fairbanks of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Sanford Medical Center, at the age of 43. A Visitation to honor Jennifer's life will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.

Jennifer Lynn (Schaffer) Fairbanks was born on February 8, 1975 in McHenry, IL, the daughter of Richard and Mary (Milon) Schaffer.  She was baptized as an infant at the Family of God Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, ND.  Jennifer grew up in the Grand Forks area and attended Kelly Elementary School, Schroeder Middle School, and Red River High School.

Jennifer enjoyed the work she did for a time at Head Start in Grand Forks.

Jennifer's favorite pastimes included watching hockey, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends.

Jennifer is survived by her son, Andin Schaffer of West Fargo, ND; father, Richard Schaffer of Florida; mother, Mary Schaffer of Grand Forks, ND; brother, Donald (Tonja) Schaffer of Grand Forks, ND; many other relatives and friends.
