Jerome Jay Ducharme, 78, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Sunday, September 16, 2001 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Arrangements with Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2001 at 2:00 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Tim Bushy Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery at Terrebonne, MN.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:30 PM prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Jerome Jay Ducharme was born August 13, 1923 in Red Lake County, MN the son of Rudolph and Cora (Callier) Ducharme. He was raised and attended school in Red Lake County. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Cameron on November 3, 1956 in Red Lake Falls, MN.
Jerome worked for Central Bi-Products in Red Lake Falls for many years. He also owned and operated the Spot Bar in Red Lake Falls for several years. Lastly, he worked part-time for the City of Red Lake Falls until his retirement.
Jerome loved to dance and enjoyed visiting with friends. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surprisingly, in his later years he enjoyed watching golf and Tiger Woods and was an avid wrestling fan. He was also the families local newscaster and kept them up on all newsworthy events.
Jerome is survived by his children; Bonnie (Gary) Pahlen of Red Lake Falls, MN; Dale Ducharme of Grand Forks, ND; Gloria Peterson of Red Lake Falls, MN and Allen (Cindy) Ducharme of Red Lake Falls, MN. Grandchildren Jay (Cindy) Pahlen, Gary (Beckie) Pahlen Jr., Jamie (Laci) Peterson, Jason Peterson, Sarah Peterson, Tina Cameron and Brenda Ducharme. Great grandchildren Carlee, Jay, Jacob, Courtney and Hunter. One brother Elmer Ducharme of Red Lake Falls, MN; and sisters Emelda Thompson of Seattle, WA and Carol (Don) Fontaine of Greenwood, WI.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Beatrice Desautel and Laura Haupt.
The family of Jerome Jay Ducharme would like to thank all friends and family who thought of them in their time of need. He will be deeply missed.
