Jerome Richard Hinrichs, 72, of Red Lake Falls, MN passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at his rural Red Lake County home.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, 2:00 PM in Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Red Lake Falls, MN with Reverend Gary Graff Officiating. Burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery near Red Lake Falls, MN.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday April 22.

Jerome "Jerry" Richard Hinrichs was born May 29, 1944 in Thief River Falls, MN son of Ernest and Mabel (Hanson) Hinrichs. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church. Following his education he worked in Milwaukee, WI, returning to the family farm when his father became ill. Jerry worked for Torqu and Hydramac before becoming a long time employee of Red Lake County, retiring at the age of 68.

Jerry enjoyed working on his lawn, going to the casino and dining out.

Jerry is survived by his sisters Lorraine Wheeler of Staples, MN, Judith (Dale) DeRosier of Fort Ripley, MN, Sandra (Dale) Helleson of Farmington, MN and Margaret (Charles) Langevin of Corcoran, MN; brothers Arthur (Darlene) Hinrichs of Thief River Falls, MN, Roger (Pamela) Hinrichs of Red Lake Falls, MN, and Stephen (Beverly) Hinrichs of Cook, MN; along with many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Barbara Hinrichs of Sturtevant, WI and Beverly Hinrichs of Little Falls, MN, and brother-in-law Raymond Nelson of Rock, MI.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sister Patricia Nelson and brothers Orland and Ernest.
