Joseph "Joey" Langseth, 29, of McIntosh died on Sunday, November 4, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Robert Dahlen officiating. Burial will follow at Telemarken Cemetery, Goodridge, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Joseph Kenneth Langseth was born on August 3, 1983 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Virgil and Karen (Nelson) Langseth. He attended school at Win-E-Mac graduating on June 1, 2002. Joey worked as a welder at MachineWell in Grygla and Oklee, MN for about three years after graduation. From there made his home in McIntosh, MN and went to work at McIntosh Machine for about two years and has most recently worked at Northern Plains Rail Service in Erskine, MN. Joey was united in marriage to Brittany Kerssen on October 14, 2006 in Fosston, MN. To this union a son, Austin James was born. Joey loved cutting scrap iron with his dad, Virgil, collecting antiques, attending auction sales, and supporting the Minnesota Twins. Most of all he loved spending time with his son, family and friends. He was a very organized man. Survivors include his "big guy" and son, Austin; mother, Karen Langseth of Oklee, MN; father, Virgil Langseth of McIntosh, MN; grandfather, Kenneth Nelson of Oklee, MN; siblings, Sally (Paul) Bergman of Clearbrook, MN, Jason (Jessica Melcher) Langseth of Oklee, MN, Amy Langseth of Thief River Falls, MN, and Melissa Nelson of Oklee, MN; and many relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Geraldine Nelson; grandparents, Joseph and Olga Langseth.
