John Lindahl, 47, died on Monday, March 14, 2011 at his home in Thief River Falls, MN.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Greg Schram officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

John Clayton Lindahl was born April 16, 1963 to Luverne Clayton and Iva Jean (Brenna) Lindahl in Minneapolis, MN. He was baptized at First Lutheran Church in Middle River and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. He attended school in Greenbush and moved with his family to Thief River Falls in 1973. He then attended school in Thief River Falls and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1981. John has lived in Thief River Falls, MN for the past several years. He worked for a short time for School District #564 as a custodian. He also helped his family in the Lindahl Furniture Store in Thief River Falls.

John was a music lover and played guitar. He appreciated all genres of music. He also collected miniature Harley Davidsons.

John is survived by his son Sterling Lindahl, Park Rapids, MN, dad Luverne, Thief River Falls, MN, and brother Craig (Marci) Lindahl, Thief River Falls, MN, one niece Kelsey Lindahl (Jamie Cochran), Fargo, ND and one nephew Craig (Kelly) Lindahl, Thief River Falls, MN and 3 great nephews, aunt Sonia (Wayne) Wegge, International Falls, MN, aunt Aldyne (Richard) Salmi, Daphne, AL, uncle Glen (Ruby) Lindahl, Dubuque, IA and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Iva in 2007, brother Gregory in 1950, and brother Mark in 1986, and his grandparents, several aunts and uncles.
