John Woody Hanson died on March 22, 2007 at The Redeemer Nursing Home in Minneapolis, MN.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 5th, 2007 at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

John Woody Hanson was born on June 21, 1928 to John and Jessie (Kolstrand) Hanson on the family farm in Hickory Township, Pennington County, MN. He attended the Solberg country school and then High School in Oklee.

He worked for the Waldorf (Champion) Paper Company for 30 years.

He spent many winters living with his sister Alice and brother Chester.

He is survived by 11 nieces and nephews: Pam Kile, Violet Hanson, Karen Radcliff, Richard Carlson, Lynda Trones, Dale Pederson, Dean Pederson, David Nerva, Sheilah Nerva, LeRoy Hanson, Brenda Hanson.

Preceded in death by brothers LeRoy, Myles, Ernest, Telton, Chester, and sisters Alice Carlson, Eva Pederson, and Bernice Nerva.
