Joleen Ann DuChamp, 65, of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, with her loving family by her side.

The service to celebrate Joleen's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Silver Creek Lutheran Church, rural Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Kristin Ostercamp officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Joleen Ann DuChamp was born August 5, 1958, in Thief River Falls, MN, and was the daughter of Joseph Arden and Darlene Joyce (Sampson) DuChamp. She was baptized and confirmed at Silver Creek Lutheran Church, rural Thief River Falls. She attended Knox Elementary School, Franklin Middle School and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1976. Joleen later attended Northland Technical College in Thief River Falls where she studied accounting.

She met Louis Stine shortly after that, who turned out to be her one and only for almost 42 years, making their home in rural Marshall County.  To this union two daughters were born, Ashlyn and Jasmyn. Later on in life, Joleen was gifted the opportunity to care and nurture another girl who became a daughter in every sense of the word, Rachel, and then a granddaughter, DeMya, her friend Becky's daughter.

Joleen worked at various locations in Thief River Falls over the years including Carol's Café, Johnnies Café and Land-O-Lakes. She eventually earned her CDL and began driving over-the-road with Louis. Together they logged thousands of miles throughout the United States.

Joleen had a big heart, full of goodwill and there was nothing she wouldn't do for someone. She was a wonderful humanitarian. Joleen loved being home and had a huge love of the land. She enjoyed tending to her yard, trees and garden. She was very artistic and creative and loved painting.

Donut making, lefse making, playing cards & games and hosting events for family and friends were passions for Joleen.

Survivors include daughters, Ashlyn Stine of Thief River Falls, Jasmyn (Evan) Chaput of Brooks, MN, Rachel (Tom) Olson of Thief River Falls; granddaughter, DeMya (Becky's daughter); sister, DeAnna DuChamp of Thief River Falls; special sister & cousin, MaryFran (Randy) Twistol; aunts, Harriet Philipp, Arlene (David) Mueller, Holly (James) Drouillard, Naida Pederson, Judy DuChamp; sister-in-law, Laurel "Toots" Stine; brother-in-law, Lee (Theresa) Stine; furbaby, Hank Snow; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Stine; infant daughter, Amber; parents; grandparents; brother, Joseph Arden DuChamp IV; aunts & uncles, Ione (Sam) Siegel, Joan (Donald) Engelstad, Duane (Peggy) DuChamp, Harry Philipp, Jack Pederson, Mark DuChamp, Geraldine (Don) Sollom; mother & father-in-law, Ardell & Leslie "Sonny" Stine.
