Joseph D. Carlson (Sussex, NJ), age 24, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015. Funeral service will be on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Evangelical Covenant Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Bert Foster officiating. Burial will be held at Eddy Oak Hills Cemetery rural Roseau, MN at 3:00 PM on Saturday April 4, 2015. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Joseph was born and raised in Minnesota and was a Bible School student and missionary in Florida before moving to New Jersey. He had served in the United States Army and was currently employed as an IT Coordinator at High Point Regional High School. Joseph was a member of the Unionville Presbyterian Church in Unionville, New York. He is survived by his wife, Alexandra (Kozlowski); his beautiful baby boy, John David Carlson; his father, Dale Carlson of Roseau, Minnesota; his grandmother, Barb Carlson also of Roseau, Minnesota; his brother, Travis Carlson, who is currently serving in the Marine Corps in California; and his in-laws, Karen and James Kozlowski of Wantage. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to baby John's educational fund by contacting the family.
