Joseph Cote, passed away on January 27, 2019 at Regions Hospital in St, Paul, MN.

Family gathering will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 5 – 7 PM at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Burial will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery at Terrebonne in the spring.

Joseph Leonard Cote was born January 24, 1933 at Terrebonne, MN son of the late Aristide and Agnes (Thibert) Cote. He was baptized at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Terrebonne, MN where he was raised and attended rural school.

He served his country in the US Air Force and achieved the E5 Staff Sergeant.

Following his discharge he returned to Minnesota where he was a Long Haul Truck Driver. On December 27, 1988 he was united in marriage to Judy Anderson at Watertown, SD. The couple made their home in Thief River Falls, MN. The last three years Joe hauled sugar beets until ill health forced him to retire.

Joe enjoyed going to tractor shows, dancing and listening to old time music. He also enjoyed gardening and working on projects around the house. His four legged friends Sadie and Tiger were special to him.

Joe was a member of the VFW and the American Legion clubs.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Judy Cote of Thief River Falls, MN; four sons and four step-children; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren: siblings Myron (Carol) Cote of Red Lake Falls, MN, Maurice (Doreen) Cote of Crookston, MN and Mae Trepenier of Washington along with several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Brother Vern and Sister Irene Dessellier and Erma Normindin.
