Joseph Arden DuChamp IV (Joe) was born February 11, 1963 in Thief River Falls, MN. He was the 3rd child born to Joseph Arden and Darlene (Sampson) DuChamp. He took honor in being named after his father, grandfather and great-grandfather, as well as the Ardennes Forest in France, which is known for its rugged terrain, meandering rivers and dense forests. Joe was raised, baptized and confirmed in the Silver Creek Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. He attended school in Thief River Falls and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1983. After his high school graduation, Joe attended the Newgate School of Auto Body in St. Paul which was founded by his father's fellow high school friend and Thief River Falls native, Ronnie Seaverson.

For several years Joe worked in the auto body field until he went back to school in Sun Prairie, WI, to become a professional driver. Following his truck driving  years, he joined his father in the family partnership business in Minneapolis. Later he returned to Thief River Falls to help his parents on the family farm. Joe's ties to family were deeply rooted, and he was always willing to do anything for his father and sister, Joleen.

Joe enjoyed the outdoors – whether it was hunting, hobby farming at Fourtown, or gardening. He was a jack of all trades, able to fix or do anything. Woodworking was one of his many talents. He enjoyed crafting items from wood and gifting them to other people. Joe also enjoyed time with siblings, cousins and friends baking Christmas cookies, making donuts and lefsa, playing Bingo, carving pumpkins, canning or visiting around a campfire. To the core of Joe's heart he was a helper and a doer. He was always willing to help family, friends or a neighbor in need. Joe treasured time with his family and sharing moments with cousins and friends.

Joe was a son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. His memory lives on in our hearts and he will be greatly missed.

Joe is survived by his sisters, Joleen Stine and Deanna DuChamp; nieces, Ashlyn Stine, Jasmyn (fiancé Evan Chaput) Stine, Amy Kochosky, Denise Williams and Rachel Bakken; many cousins, relatives, and friends; and his furbabies: Ole and Lena DuChamp. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arden and Darlene DuChamp; his grandparents; and his brother-in-law, Louie Stine.
