Judith "Judy" Greene of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Hillcrest Senior Living in Red Lake Falls, MN with her loving family by her side, at the age of 76.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN, with Father Rick Lambert presiding.

Visitation will take place from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, with a 6:00 PM Prayer Service on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.  Visitation will also take place one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday at the church.

Judith Ann Gordon was born June 30, 1946 in Mahnomen, MN the daughter of Harold and Christine (Clark) Gordon. She was baptized at the Episcopal Church in Naytawash. Judy attended school in Mahnomen MN, the AVTI in Thief River Falls, MN and the School of Cosmetology School in Fergus Falls, MN.

On September 26, 1975, Judy was united in marriage to Rod Greene in Sisseton, SD and the couple made their home in Fergus Falls. To this union four wonderful children were born Janet, LeRoy, Tony and Nikki.

The family moved to Thief River Falls in 1977 where they have continued to reside. In her early years, Judy was blessed to stay home and raise their children. In 1992, Judy went to work cooking at Franklin Middle School where she soon became the Head Cook, a title which she carried until her retirement on May 30, 2014.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing cards, shaking dice, bingo, going to the casino, gardening, canning, cooking, was an avid reader, dog lover, help her neighbors and loved time with her family and especially loved time with her grandkids. Judy was a selfless, strong native woman.

Survivors include her loving husband Rod of Thief River Falls; children, Janet Grove of Fall River, WI, LeRoy (Julianne) Krapohl of Otsego, WI, Tony (Karlene) Greene of Thief River Falls, MN and Nikki (Nick) Trudeau of Thief River Falls, MN; grandchildren, Christopher (Emily) Norden, Michael Hauge, Arielle (Tyler) Sika, Michelle Calkins, Bailey, Paige & Piper Greene, Avery & Taylor Trudeau, Rayna Romero; great-grandchildren, Michael, Leah, Erica, Arthur, Asher, Sofia; brother, Harold "Butch" Gordon Jr.; sister, Lois Asher both of Mahnomen, MN; brothers-in-law, Steve Leslie and Paul Roy; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by parents; aunt & uncle who helped raise her, Ed & Helen Clark; brothers, John, Donald "Ole", and Kenny (Olive) Gordon; sisters, Sandy Buckanaga, Janet Roy, and Stella Leslie; sister-in-law, Gladys Gordon; niece, Paula Jean Robinson.
