Julie Thorson, a cherished educator, community member, and devoted family woman, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Born on August 6, 1944, in Bagley, MN, Julie's life was marked by kindness, generosity, and a passionate commitment to those around her.
Services to honor and celebrate Julie’s life will begin with a visitation on June 11, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls. A prayer service will follow on the same evening at 6:30 p.m. The next day, June 12, 2026, visitation will resume from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 325 Horace Avenue North in Thief River Falls, followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m.
