Obituary


June Lyla Lund was born on November 8, 1920 in Divide County, Wildrose, ND daughter of the late Oscar and Margaret (Zelmar) Lund. She was baptized and confirmed at Glenwood Lutheran Church in Crosby, ND. June attended school and grew to adulthood in Wildrose, ND. She then moved to Thief River Falls, MN where she worked at Mercy Hospital.

On March 29, 1943 she was united in marriage to Earl Bugge in Moorhead, MN and they resided in Numedal Township in Pennington County. June worked for a time at the Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA and returned to Thief River Falls where she worked at Valley Home from 1966 until her retirement.

She enjoyed reading, watching baseball on TV, enjoying her time spent with her grandchildren, working puzzles with them and always made the best refrigerator cookies.

June is survived by four sons: Neil (Sharon) Bugge, Bruce (Ruth) Bugge, Keith (Leona) Bugge, all of Thief River Falls, MN and John (Sharon) Bugge of St. Hilaire, MN; twelve grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one brother Keith (Wilma) Lund of Spokane, WA; sisters Audrey (Elmer) Charvat of Spokane, WA, Betty (Hugh) Ross of Tacoma, WA and Joyce Wykoff of Livermore, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, on December 21, 1996; her parents Oscar and Margaret Lund; one grandson, one great grandson and one great-granddaughter: brothers Clem and Oscar Jr. and sister Darlene Lund.
