June Adele Swanson, 80, passed away on Thursday November 2, 2017 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

A memorial service to celebrate June's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Ale Tulu and Reverend John Golv officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.  A visitation will also be held one prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

June Adele Swanson was born June 12, 1937 at Oslo, MN, the daughter of Carl Selmer and Myrtle Evelyn (Engstrom) Hoff.  She was baptized at home in Olso with her cousin and confirmed at Oslo as well.  She graduated in 1955 at Oslo High School.

On September 12, 1954, June was united in marriage to David M. Swanson at Oak Park Church, Oslo, MN.  The couple started farming with David's folks and then moved to Virginia, MN for 16 years

June worked at a chiropractic office and then the clinic for 2 ½ years.  In 1972, the couple moved into Thief River Falls, where they owned and operated the Hy Bye Restaurant.  They sold the business after 4 years and June then worked at Best Western.  She also worked at Dr. Helm's office, Hugo's and Digi-Key for 8 ½ years, retiring in 2002.

June was active in many things at Zion Lutheran Church.

Survived by children: David Jr. (Nenita) Thief River Falls, MN, Keith (Cindy), Thief River Falls, MN, Kathy (Todd) Borgstrom, Sun City West, AZ and Dean, Thief River Falls, MN; grandchildren, Josh, Blair, Nina, Aaron, Noah, Sam, Kristen, Josh, Megan, Ryan, Amy; great-grandchildren, Alex, Anthony, Avery, Neaveh, Skyler, Vincent, Chase, Ava, and Violet; and 2 sisters, Marilyn Dahlstrom, Minneapolis, MN and Eulailah Zinke, Pleasanton, CA; and special friend, Weldie McFarland of East Grand Forks, MN.

Preceded in death by husband, David on November 8, 2008; her parents; brothers, Cameron Hoff and Loren Hoff, Baudette, MN
