Kathleen Honsa, 80, died on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Monsignor Roger Grundhaus presiding. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.

Kathleen Marie Barry was born August 14, 1925 in St. Paul, MN the daughter of John Patrick and Alice (Mee) Barry. She was baptized into the catholic faith at St. Columbia in St. Paul, MN on August 30, 1925 and attended school at St. Joseph Academy. On February 7, 1948, Kathleen was united in marriage to Roy James Honsa.

Kay was an avid reader and was well versed on current events, she also enjoyed being outdoors. She especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Kays fun and energetic personality left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to meet her.

Survivors include one brother, Patrick (Yvonne) Barry of Bemidji, MN; nephews, Dennis (Jean) Barry of Fergus Falls, MN, John (Barb) Barry of Champlin, MN, Jim (Becky) Barry of Thief River Falls, MN, Tom (Julie Hausmann) Barry of St. Cloud, MN and Mike (Kathy) Barry of Thief River Falls, MN; nieces, Patty Selstad, Kathy (Gerry) Sunsdahl, and Kelly Barry all of Thief River Falls, MN; and many great and great-great nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Honsa on July 17, 1969; parents, John and Alice Barry; and sister-in-law, June Barry.
