Keith Hanson, 46, died Friday, September 21, 2007 at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Red Lake Falls, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 PM, Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at St. Bernards Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Father John Kleinwachter officiating. Burial will be at St. Bernards Catholic Cemetery, Thief River Falls.
Visitation will be 5 " 8 PM, Monday, September 24, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, with a prayer service at 7 PM and for one hour prior to service at the church, Tuesday.
Keith Elden Hanson was born April 5, 1961 in San Antonio, TX, the son of Edvin and Marlene (Sturre) Hanson. He grew up in Kansas, Ohio and Texas until he reached the age of 10, when the family moved to Goodridge, MN. Then in 1981, they moved to Thief River Falls. Keith attended school in both Goodridge and Thief River Falls. He also attended AVTI in Thief River Falls, where he entered the program for electronics.
Even though Keith was physically handicapped, he never complained about what life dealt him. He had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. He lived at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Red Lake Falls, MN for the past nine years. He loved his computer. It helped him communicate with his family and friends. He enjoyed burning CDs. Keith was very good with electronics and could tell people how to keep them running. He also enjoyed music and the Minnesota Vikings.
He is survived by mother, Marlene Hanson, Thief River Falls, MN; brothers, Edvin Hanson Jr., Columbia, IL, Brian (Nancy) Hanson, Granite Falls, MN and Bruce (Penni) Hanson, Marshall, MN; sisters, Deborah (Doug) Derosier, Red Lake Falls, MN, Theresa (Danny) Johnsrud, Goodridge, MN and Renae (Pat) Garland, Tehachapi, CA and several nieces and nephews,aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Keith is preceded in death by father, Edvin in 2006 grandparents, niece, Shannon Garland and an aunt.
