Keith C. Maidment, 69, Thief River Falls, MN died Thursday, February 13, 2014 at St. Could Hospital, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Burial will follow at Greenwood cemetery at Thief River Falls, MN. Lunch will follow the burial at the Thief River Falls American Legion Post all are welcome. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer service on Monday, February 17, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Keith Charles Christopher Maidment was born Nov. 4, 1944 at Thief River Falls, MN son of the late Kenneth and Mae (Hamberg) Maidment. He was raised in Thief River Falls where he was baptized and confirmed at St. Bernard's Catholic Church. He attended St. Bernard's Catholic School and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962. Keith entered the US Army in August of 1965 and was honorably discharged in August of 1967. Following his discharge he worked in the Minneapolis area. On April 20, 1968 he was united in marriage to KayLynn Larson at Fridley, MN. Keith began work for the Prichard Brothers Construction in 1970 (Ram Construction), later at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls until starting his own business KM Ribs. Keith enjoyed cooking, reading, gathering with friends and family but most of all loved the time spent with family especially the grandkids. He was a member of the Thief River Falls American Legion, the 40 et 8 and St. Bernard's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 45 years KayLynn Maidment of Thief River Falls, MN; daughters Kristy (Jon) Bigalk of Annandale, MN and Kim (Russ) Bollesen of Farmington, MN: grandchildren Rachel, Andrew, Katrina, Christopher Bigalk and Max and Keigan Bollesen. Brothers and sisters Luke (Elaine) Maidment of Burtrum, MN/Fort Myers, FL, Mark (Special friend Dee) Maidment of Minneapolis, MN, Sheila Panek of North Platte, NE; special uncle Kermit Maidment, several cousins, nieces and nephews, along with his four legged friend Buddy the family dog. He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Mae Maidment, father and mother-in-law Leonard and Alice Larson, brother-in-law John Panek and Aunt Jean Maidment, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
