Kenneth Bakke of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Memorial service for Ken will be held 10:30 on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Pete Lee Officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will be held at a later date at Bethesda Cemetery rural Newfolden, MN.

Kenneth Allen Bakke was born February 25, 1964 at Devils Lake, ND son of Robert and MaryAnn (Darulis) Bakke. The family moved to Thief River Falls in April of 1964 where he was raised and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1982. He attended Northland College for one year. He attended college at MSUM in Moorhead. Ken returned to Thief River Falls in 2005 where he was employed at the Eagles. In 2012 he started Bucas Restaurant in Thief River Falls. He worked at the Puck restaurant and the past few years was employed at the Black Cat.

He enjoyed college football and the Twins, fantasy football, reading, and music. He also enjoyed spending time outside and sitting around the campfire with his cat "Mischa" in his lap. Most of all he loved the time spent with family and friends.

Ken is survived by his Mother MaryAnn of Thief River Falls, MN; sister Shelley (Mike) Nyland of Goodridge, MN; nieces Tauscha (Steve Crummy) Nyland, Kia (Jason) Naeseth, great-nieces Kiana (Joseph), Makaya (Luke), Shayla and great-nephew Davin and one great-great nephew Joziah; uncles Veto Darulis of Devils Lake, ND and Les (Bev) Bakke of Green Valley, AZ; along with cousins and many friends.

Ken is preceded in death by his father Robert Bakke; grandparents, several aunts and uncles.
