Kenneth Borseth, Roseau, MN, formerly of Thief River Falls, MN, age 80, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Life Care Manor, Roseau, MN.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN, with Rev. Kristin Ostercamp officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Kenneth Gordon Borseth was born August 15, 1936 at home in rural McIntosh, MN, the son of Adolph and Sarah (Landsverk) Borseth.  He was the youngest of three children.  Kenny attended and graduated from McIntosh School.

Following high school Kenny was drafted into the United States Army and later honorably discharged.

On May 20, 1978 he was united in marriage to Charlotte Bechard.  Together they made their home on the family farm near McIntosh where they raised their three daughters.

In 2002 Kenny moved to Thief River Falls with his longtime friend, Patricia Bauer.  After Patricia's passing in 2012 Kenny moved to Strathcona, MN, to live with his daughter and her family.  In February 2016 Kenny moved into the LifeCare Roseau Manor in Roseau, MN.

Kenny worked for most of his life as a diesel mechanic, retiring from Lucken's Truck Parts and Sales in 2005.

He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  Kenny enjoyed Sunday afternoons spent with his daughters over a hamburger and a strawberry shake.  He enjoyed visiting with family and friends over a cup of coffee.  Kenny's favorite pastime was finding and researching minerals and gold, sharing his findings with his family and friends.  He also enjoyed watching the news and keeping others informed of recent events.  Kenny had a heart of gold, always willing to help others.

Kenny is survived by his daughters, Desiree Kise of Ada, MN, Sarah Borseth of Cass Lake, MN, and Shelah (Patrick) Gust of Strathcona, MN; grandchildren, Dustin (Fiance, Anna Bachmeier) Kise of Phoenix, AZ, Dorethea Kise of Phoenix, AZ, Dylan, Dante, and Danica Kise of Ada, MN, and Tucker and Jalyssa Gust of Strathcona, MN; great-granddaughter, Kyah Kise of Phoenix, AZ; mother of his children, Charlotte Borseth of Fertile, MN; sister-in-law, Dona Borseth of Fosston, MN; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Anora Hedlund and her husband, Phillip; brother, Melvin; great-niece, Karen Quam and his special friends, Eunice Qualley and Patricia Bauer.
