Kenneth "Tex" Reynolds, 68, died Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Riverview Hospital, Crookston, MN.


Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM, Saturday, January 6, 2007, at St. Josephs Church, Red Lake Falls, MN, with Father Tim Bushy presiding. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be 5 " 8 PM, Friday, January 5, 2007 at St. Josephs Church, Red Lake Falls, MN, with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to service, Saturday.

Kenneth Lloyd Reynolds was born July 29, 1938 at San Saba County, TX, the son of Cyrus and Lola (Munsell) Reynolds. He was baptized into the Baptist faith. When he was 14 years old, the family moved to a farm in Polk County, near Mentor, MN. He grew up in the area and attended school in Mentor. He worked for various farmers and started driving truck. He drove for various companies, including Stordahl Trucking and Hartz Trucking. He retired in 2004.

On June 20, 1959, Kenneth was united in marriage to Susan Carol Baril at St. Josephs Church, Red Lake Falls, MN. To this union 3 children were born. They lived in Red Lake Falls until 1984, when they moved to their farm near Marcoux Corner.

He was recently received into the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Josephs Church, Red Lake Falls. He also was a member of the Teamsters Union, the Blue Line Club and currently was a member of Evergreen Cemetery Board. Kenneth liked to visit with friends and family, which was very important to him. He liked hobby farming, sheep farming, story telling, joking and teasing his family and friends. He also had a gravel pit, most of Highway 32 between Marcoux and Red Lake Falls was built with gravel from his pit. Kenneth liked attending the functions at school and sporting events of his grandchildren. He enjoyed helping people, enjoyed his time on the road and spending time in Texas following the death of Susan.

Kenneth is survived by three children: Kevin (Deanne) Reynolds, Red Lake Falls, MN, Barb (Arnie) Schmitz, Plummer, MN and Kurt (Kristie Pesch) Red Lake Falls, MN; six grandchildren: Damara, Matt, Amanda, Ashley, Casey and Koko; brother and sister: Cy Budgie (Ernestina) Reynolds, Laredo, TX and Elaine (Jim Boatwright) Underwood, Liberty Hill, TX and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by wife, Susan in 2004; parents; infant sister, Rebecca and brother-in-law, Damon Underwood.
