Kenneth Szymanski, 86, of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019 at Minnesota Greenleaf Assisted Living in Thief River Falls, MN.

A Celebration of Life Open House will be held from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.  Inurnment will take place following the open house at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

Kenneth Floryan Szymanski was born on June 4, 1933 in Minneapolis, MN the son of Floryan and Joanna (Malecki) Szymanski. He attended Kratka Country School and Lincoln High School of Thief River Falls, MN.  Kenneth also attended Crookston Agricultural College, and graduated from North Dakota State University with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.

On September 12, 1953 Kenneth married Patricia Ann Jensen and to this union six children were born.  The surviving children are Steven, Timothy, and Laurie.  Kenneth was enlisted in the US Army from 1954 until being Honorably Discharged July 31, 1962.

Kenneth was employed by Western Electric in 1962 and retired in 1992 as the Western Regional Installation Manager.  Western Electric evolved into what is AT&T.

He loved reading, hunting, fishing, and playing cards.

He is survived by his wife: Patricia Ann Jensen, Thief River Falls, MN, Sons: Steven (Susan) Szymanski and Timothy (Brenda) Szymanski, and a daughter Laurie Szymanski, Grandchildren: Sara, Michael, Katlyn, and Kathryn Szymanski, and a Sister: Doris Marie Eisbrener.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his children: Kathleen, Michael, Kenneth and his parents: Floryan and Joanna Szymanski.

Memorials preferred to the Salvation Army.
