Kert Wright passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at Hillcrest Senior Living in Red Lake Falls, MN.
Celebration of life for Kert will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the American Legion Post in Red Lake Falls, MN 5 – 7 PM, dinner will be served.
Kert Blaine Wright was born June 10, 1950 at Jamestown, New York son of the late Charles Chapman and Sherry Mae (Stockton) Wright. He was baptized at Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania. Kert attended Gulf High School in New Port Richey, Florida graduating in 1968.
He was married to Lynn Zion in 1968 and divorced in 1977. He was then married to Brenda Stevenson in 1982 and divorced in 1992, and in 2006 was united in marriage to VeAnn Knutson and divorced in 2016.
Kert was raised in the cattle business working side by side with his grandfather, he also worked as an electrician for C-Rite Electric. After moving to Minnesota he was manager of the Plummer American Legion and later he and VeAnn opened Wrights Consignment in downtown Red Lake Falls, MN.
He enjoyed softball, fishing, snow skiing and water skiing. He also enjoyed riding horse and taking his motorcycle out on the open road. Most of all he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.
Kert is survived by his children Chip Blaine Wright of Inverness, FL, Kert Blaine Wright Jr. of Inverness, FL, Kelton Bert Blaize Wright of Inverness, FL and Kendall Brendan Kelly Wright of Inverness, FL; step-children Shannah DaPron Guenthner of Red Lake Falls, MN and Crystal Rose Guenthner of Red Lake Falls, MN; grandchildren Tyler, Jordan, Kamryn, Kelsey, Kayton, Kynleigh, Kendall and Kolton Wright; step-grandson Knox Houghtaling; siblings Charles "Chuck" Bert (Maggie) Wright of Zephyrhills, FL, Sherry Berte Blaine (Donald) Lamothe of New Port Richey, FL and Kasey Chap Wright of Sugar Grove, PA along with several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Sherry Wright and his daughter Lynett Ann Wright. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents Bert and Flossie Stockton and Blaine and Mildred Wright.
