Kim Ulrich, 55, of Red Lake Falls, MN, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND with his loving family by his side.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM on Friday, August 31, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Rev. Thomas Puffe officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Red Lake Falls.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Kim Ray Ulrich was born on April 29, 1963 in Crookston, MN the son of Louis and Dionne (Larson) Ulrich. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls. He attended school in Red Lake Falls graduating from Lafayette High School with the class of 1981.

Following high school Kim worked various jobs including trucking and farming. He had a strong work ethic and put everything he could into his various jobs. He hauled mobile homes, grain, gravel and anything that went in a truck. He also did snow removal.

Kim met Bobbi Norman and this union was blessed with a son Cody born in 1994. They made their home near Red Lake Falls.

Kim met Kristi Hackett and this union was blessed with a son Rickey born in 2001. They made their home near Red Lake Falls.

In his earlier years, Kim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and time with family. He also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings. Kim was strong, stubborn, and independent.

Survivors include his sons Cody of Watertown, SD and Rickey of Red Lake Falls, MN; parents Louis & Dionne Ulrich; siblings Rodney (Kelli) Ulrich and Deb (Ira) Cota all of Red Lake Falls; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother Rickey; grandparents Roy & Alma Larson and Fred "Fritz" & Mabel Ulrich.
