Kris Fontaine, 31, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Sunday, December 19, 1999 as a result of an automobile accident near Red Lake Falls, MN. Arrangements with the Petterson Funeral home in Red Lake Falls.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 23, 1999 at 11:00 AM in Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls with Reverend Gary Graff officiating. Burial will be held in the Rodnes Cemetery near Erskine, MN at 3:00 PM December 23, 1999.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service and also one hour prior to services on Thursday all at Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls.
Kris Ardell Fontaine was born August 4, 1968 in Red Lake Falls, MN son of Keith and Sandra (Ulland) Fontaine, where he was raised and attended school graduating from Lafayette High School in 1987. He was baptized September 29, 1968 and confirmed May 26, 1985 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls. Kris was working for the Red Lake Falls School District #630 as Transportation Supervisor. He spent his summers at Maple Lake at Ullands Resort. Kris was the former Oak Knolls Golf Club Champion, Assistant Lafayette High School Hockey Coach and the Assistant Lafayette High School Golf Coach and former Bantam Hockey Coach.
He enjoyed Golf, Hockey, spending time with his nieces and nephews and his time at the lake.
Kris is survived by his parents Keith and Sandra Fontaine of Red Lake Falls, MN, Special Friend Shelley Magner of Red Lake Falls, MN and her children Brett and Jenelle Magner and son Chase of St. Cloud, MN, Melissa Magner and son Judd of Red Lake Falls, MN, and Amanda Magner of Red Lake Falls, MN. Brothers Kip (Sheila) Fontaine of Bagley, MN, Karl (Laurie) Fontaine of Phoenix, AZ, Kraig Fontaine and Kirk Fontaine both of Sturgis, MI; sister Kelly (Brian) Fontaine-Wavra of Grand Forks, ND. Grandparents Orville and Clarice Ulland of Mentor, MN and nieces and nephews Karli, Keaton and Koel Fontaine of Bagley, MN and Kristian Fontaine of Phoenix, AZ.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Isadore and Freida Fontaine.
