Kyle Myhre, 18, died Friday, May 7, 2004 in an automobile accident near Red Lake Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at the Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls, MN with Rev. Gary Graff officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 10, 2004 from 5-8 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral at the school on Tuesday.

Kyle Arthur Myhre was born on December 3, 1985 in Thief River Falls, MN to Randy and Josie (Erickson) Myhre. He was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN. He was confirmed on April 1, 1999 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN. He grew up near Red Lake Falls all of his life attending elementary school in Red Lake Falls and was currently a Senior at Lafayette High School. Kyle worked and was a significant part of the family farm. He also worked at Voyagers View in Red Lake Falls last summer.

Kyle was active in hockey and served as a captain of the hockey team, receiving the Hobey Baker Award for exemplary leadership and sportsmanship, and was honored as All Conference MVP and Most Dedicated. He also played football. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling. He especially liked to just hang out with his family and friends. He was also a member of the Sportsmens Club.

Kyle is survived by his parents Randy and Josie, Red Lake Falls, MN; a brother and sister Aaron & Amanda, Red Lake Falls, MN; Grandparents, Sidney Duane & Barbara Myhre of Red Lake Falls, MN; Josephine Erickson, Plummer, MN; Great Grandparents: Dorothy Myhre, Brooks, MN; Aunts & Uncles: Vickie (Tim) Olson, Fertile, MN; Jody (Howard) Gudvangen, Fertile, MN; Darin (Val) Myhre, Red Lake Falls, MN; Tammy (Marty) Audette, Thief River Falls, MN; Stacy (Jody) Beauchane, Fertile, MN; Jill Hall, Thief River Falls, MN; Jane (Carl) Smith, Fargo, ND; Art (Betty) Erickson, Thief River Falls, MN; Lloyd Erickson, Crookston, MN; Alan (Judy) Erickson, Erskine, MN; Annette (Dale) Johnson, Thief River Falls, MN; Cecily (Milo Oppegard) Erickson, Plummer, MN; Special Friend McKenzie Comstock, Thief River Falls, MN; he is also survived by many cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Kyle was preceded in death by his grandfather, Arthur Erickson, Aunt Phyllis Erickson, Uncle Harold Hall, great grandfather Sidney Arthur Myhre, and cousin Nicholas Olson.
