Obituary

Lance Robert Peterson was born on September 4, 1947 in Thief River Falls, MN, the son of Robert and Carla (Rambeck) Peterson. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Bethany Lutheran Church and attended school in Thief River Falls, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1965. Following High School he worked at Arctic Cat. He was drafted into the United States Army on November 23, 1966. Lance served in Vietnam and was Honorably Discharged on July 7, 1968. Following his discharge he returned to Thief River Falls and worked at RV Sports, the VFW and the American Legion. Lance also worked in Wyoming for a number of years before returning to Thief River Falls after his dads death in 1992.

Lance enjoyed snowmobiling and he loved to work on his sisters farm.

He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Thief River Falls.

Lance is survived by one sister, Arlene Peterson of Plumnmer, MN; two nieces, Toni Peterson of Wayzata, MN and Meloni Forsberg of Thief River Falls, MN; one nephew, Greg (Julie) Peterson and their two children, Jordan and Halle, all on Eden Prairie, MN; and his special friend, Carole Cloutier of Thief River Falls, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Gail; one brother, Jim; one nephew, Rick Ward; his grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
