Obituary

Larry Good of Red Lake, MN passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Red Lake Hospital, Red Lake, MN with his loving family by side

Visitation will be at the Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM with a 5:30 PM Prayer Service on Monday, February 21, 2022.

A one-night wake will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the New Red Lake Community Center. A funeral service to celebrate Larry's life will be at the New Red Lake Community Center, Red Lake, MN at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 with Father John Christianson presiding. Military honors will be provided by the Red Lake 3 Star Warrior Society. Burial will be at the Good Cemetery in Neptune, MN.

Larry Good was born on August 11, 1954, at Red Lake Hospital, Red Lake, MN son of Joseph Sr. and Dolores (Neadeau) Good. He was the fourth born into a family of 11 children.  He was baptized and received his first communion at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Red Lake, MN. He attended Red Lake High School until joining the United States Marine Corps on March 12, 1973.

He received his GED while serving as a Marine and was honorably discharged on March 12, 1977. The four years in the Marine Corps brought Larry to many different destinations such as California, Hawaii, and the Philippines. He was proud to serve for his country and represent the United State of America.

Larry enjoyed carpentry and masonry work owning and operating Good Contracting and Construction for many years. He also dabbled in logging and commercial fishing. Larry was employed at numerous jobs including an EMT at Red Lake Hospital and an officer for the Red Lake Band Dept of Natural Resources. His current job was Facilities Management at the Red Lake Agency.

Larry and Judy Marlene Thunder were married in 1985 and to this union they had a son, Dalton Joseph Good.

Larry loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also appreciated riding in the Combine or tractors with the Dahlen boys reminiscing about the Good family. Larry liked to be a part of a Good memory and is so very proud of his family.

He served on the Red Lake VFW and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Lake, MN.

Larry is survived by his son, Dalton Joseph Good, Twin Cities, MN; sister, Sheri Good, Red Lake, MN; brothers, Donald Good Sr., Red Lake, MN, Ronald "Bunyan" Good, Red Lake, MN, Michael "Mouse" Good, Red Lake, MN; brother-in-law, Fabian "Nickel" Cook; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Marlene; his mother Dolores; his father Joe Sr.; sister, Gloria "Missy" Cook; brothers, Arlen Good, Joe Good, Darwin Good, Greg Good and infant sister, Joanie.
