Larry Roy Myhrer Sr. was born on August 19, 1949 in Thief River Falls, MN, the son of Thorvald and Olga (Christopherson) Myhrer.  He committed his life to Christ at a young age and was baptized while attending First Baptist Church in Thief River Falls.  Larry attended Washington Elementary School, Franklin Middle School, and Lincoln High School, graduating in 1968.  Following high school Larry began working for Hartz Grocery Store in Thief River Falls.  He attended Northland Community College for Radio Broadcasting classes.

On November 27, 1971 Larry was united in marriage to Linda Trochmann at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls.  Together they made their home in Thief River Falls and raised their four children – Faith LaRae, Larry Seth Jr., Marcy Lynn, and Tammy LaDawn.

Larry's employment with Hartz Grocery Store started a lifelong career in the grocery industry.  He continued his career with Hugo's Grocery from 1990 until his retirement in 2015.  He enjoyed working and visiting with people, and his welcoming face was well known throughout the local community and surrounding areas.  A personal highlight for Larry was being asked to speak at his 50 th high school reunion.

Larry enjoyed watching the Twins, serving on the board and attending the Baptist Bible Camp in Lake Bronson, connecting with his siblings, and loving on his children and grandchildren.

After his retirement he continued his ministry to the community by helping others in multiple ways.  This included pastoring Silverton Lutheran Church, officiating funerals, and visiting nursing homes and shut-ins.  Larry's passion of life was to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone he encountered.  Because he knew the depth of Jesus' love for the world, he lived his life to show the world that love. By knowing Larry, his family, friends, and even strangers, all knew Jesus better.  We live in the confidence that today Larry is in Heaven, walking on the streets of gold with his Precious Lord and Savior.

Larry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda of Thief River Falls, MN; children, Faith Myhrer of Thief River Falls, MN, Larry (Erin) Myhrer Jr. of Albertville, MN, Marcy (Troy) McQuown of Clearbrook, MN, and Tammy (John) Weiher of Nashwauk, MN; grandchildren, Isaac McQuown, Jack McQuown, Taylor Myhrer, Jed Weiher, Elijah McQuown, Emily Myhrer, Caleb Myhrer, Violet Weiher, Katherine McQuown, Grant McQuown, and Maxwell Weiher; siblings, Robert (Ivy) Myhrer of Lakeland, FL, Marlene Owens of Euclid, MN, and Lester (Norma) Myhrer of Lakeville, MN; brother-in-law, Lowell (Lona) Trochmann of Thief River Falls, MN; sister-in-law, Laurie (John) Baril of Warroad, MN; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
