Laura Donelda Klamar went to the Lord on November 21 2016 at Sanford Hospital in Thief River Falls, MN surrounded by her family at the age of 75 years, and 11 days.

The memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Terri Cuppett will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Laura Donelda Klamar, was born November 10, 1941 at Thief River Falls, MN the daughter of Richard and Alta (Weckwerth) Peterson. She was baptized and confirmed at Clara Lutheran Church. She attended Plummer School and graduated from Plummer High School in 1959. After high school she worked at the ASC Office in Thief River Falls, in the clerical department. She also worked as a nurse's aide at the Roseau Hospital.

Laura met Paul Klamar through her sister Mildred Klamar and Paul's brother Roland Klamar. After a short courtship Laura and Paul were married at Clara Lutheran Church in Hazel, MN. They raised 2 children, Kari and Blair on a family farm in Rollis Township near Gatzke, MN. Laura loved to cook meals for all the boys in the field, garden, tend to her pristine yard and then if she had a spare moment of free time she enjoyed crocheting, (tying knots as Paul would call it), riding horse and spending time with her family and friends.

If you were to ask anyone what they would remember about Laura, it was her white dinner rolls, strawberry freezer jam, doughnuts and lefsa.

Laura is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Paul; daughter, Kari (Dean) Dolezal of Prior Lake MN, four grandchildren, Kody Dolezal (Jodi Tupy) of Lonsdale, MN, Hailey Dolezal (Bryan Tupy) of New Prague, MN, Rylan Klamar, Ellie Klamar, daughter-in-law, Sarah Klamar Berg (Mike Berg) of Stephen, MN. She is also survived by 2 sisters Mildred Klamar of Gatzke MN, Rosie Fulton of Warren, MN and one brother William Peterson of Plummer, MN, brother-in-law, Harold (Doris) Klamar of Gatzke, Clifford (Mary) Klamar of Gatzke, sister-in-law, Lorraine (Raynold) Monsrud of Badger, MN and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

There to greet Laura in heaven are her parents; son, Blair Klamar; brother, Lowell Peterson; infant sister, Lorraine Peterson; brothers-in-law, Don Fulton, Roland Klamar, Douglas Nordby; sister-in-law, Margaret Kaml; a niece; four nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
