Lauretta Fournier, 92, died Thursday, July 17, 2003 at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Monday, July 21, 2003 at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Red Lake Falls, MN, with Father Tim Bushy presiding. Burial will be at St. Peters Cemetery, Gentilly, MN.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Lauretta Gervais was born June 20, 1911 at Gentilly, MN, the daughter of Candid and Alda (Montcalm) Gervais.

On October 12, 1936, Lauretta was united in marriage to Leo Fournier in Gentilly at St. Peters Catholic Church. Lauretta and Leo lived and farmed at Gentilly, where she was very active on the farm.

Lauretta was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church, Red Lake Falls, MN, member of St. Peters Catholic Church, the Golden Hours Senior Club at Gentilly for many years, Ladies Guild and St. Anns Society. She worked many hours cleaning for the church. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, canning, pickling, selling produce from her garden and playing cards.

Survived by sisters-in-law, Bernice Gervais, Crookston, MN and Vivian Sorsoleil, Turtle Lake, WI and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband, Leo in November of 1977, parents and brother, Leo Gervais.
