LAWRENCE "Larry" HAGL of Red Lake Falls, age 66, died on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10:30 AM with visitation one hour prior at the Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. A Wake will be held from 5 - 8:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2014 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN. Larry was born on December 31, 1947 at Crookston Hospital in Crookston, MN the son of George and Amelia (Desautel) Hagl. Larry was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith at Saint Joseph Church in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota during his youth. He attended St. Joseph School; growing up he worked on several farms in Red Lake Falls County. As an adult, Larry worked as a janitor at St. Joseph Church & School in Red Lake Falls, MN; and the Human Nutrition Lab in Grand Forks, ND. He also was a handyman and liked to do woodwork and remodeling projects. He was a very giving soul and loved to do what he could for others; Christmas was his favorite time of the year. He had a very blessed relationship with his niece, Georgia (who was inflicted with spinal bifida and lived to be 35 years of age) and his nephew Henry. In his later years, Larry lived at St. Anne's Guest House in Grand Forks for two years and then Borg Home in Mountain, ND where he spent the last years of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents. Larry is survived by two sisters, Donna Presnell of Grand Forks, ND and Beverly Wander of Detroit Lakes, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
