Lawrence Schue, 93, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Friday, August 4, 2006 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN.
Lawrence George Schue was born on January 16, 1913 in Fisher, MN the son of Michael and Delphine (Martell) Schue. He was raised and attended country school near Fisher, MN.
On November 3, 1942, Lawrence was united in marriage to Myrtle O. Cassavant in Dorothy, MN. He farmed and raised his family with his wife in Red Lake Falls, MN. Lawrence also worked as a mechanic at Thiberts and worked at Wilcox Furniture & Appliance in Red Lake Falls, and was employed for several years by the city of Red Lake Falls as a machine operator where he retired from in 1976.
Lawrence was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls and he never missed church. He was a man of faith and a man of prayer. His pride and joy was his garden, he enjoyed raising corn, potatoes and tomatoes. Lawrence loved to tease his grandchildren; he also enjoyed playing cards, cutting wood and an occasional happy hour.
Survivors include children, Pete (Sharon) Boylan of Crystal, MN, Robert (Karen) Schue of Westminster, CA, Larry (Judy) Schue of Franklin, WI, Jerome (Judy) Schue of Oklee, MN, Alice (David) Champagne of South Milwaukee, WI, Rita (Lyle) Kennedy of Warroad, MN, and Bernice (Mike) Columbus of Red Lake Falls, MN; 25 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; sister, Alice Delorme of Red Lake Falls, MN and Eva McDonald of Warren, MN; brother, Bernie (Etta) Schue of Bismarck, ND; sister-in-law, Vi Schue of Fargo, ND; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle in 2003; son, Michael; brothers, Leo, Joe and Louis; and grandchild, Robert Bobby Schue.
