Leland Back, 89, of Viking, MN, passed away at his residence on May 24, 2008.

Funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. with Pastor Mike Fish officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

Leland Back was born in Argyle, MN on September 14, 1918 to John and Hilda (Anderson) Back. He grew up and attended school in Argyle. For many years Leland worked as a mechanic for local farmers. If something was broke, Leland could fix it. Earlier in life he was fond of hunting, fishing, and trapping.

Leland is survived by his sister, May Howes of Thief River Falls, MN; and numerous nieces nephews, and cousins; and special friend Betty Voytilla of Argyle.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, and three sisters, two of which died in infancy.
