Lenore Brown Thief River Falls, MN age 75, died peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN with her loving family at her side. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Greg Schram officiating. Burial will be held at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Brooks, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Saturday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Lenore Virgine Lanska was born on July 6, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Bernard and Virgine (Dow) Lanska. She was a member at Salvation Army and First Baptist Church. She attended Lincoln High School and graduated in June of 1956. On June 23, 1956, Lenore was united in marriage to Donavon Brown at the Salvation Army. To this union three children were born, Linda, Michael, and Pamela. They lived in Red Lake Falls, MN from 1956 until 1959 and then moved to Thief River Falls, MN where they have continued to reside. Lenore was lovingly known as "Lee" to her family and friends. Lee was never afraid of hard work. She worked at Northwestern Hospital, T-59 Motel, Digi-Key, Bread Store, Kum-N-Go Convenience Store and retired from the Best Western. Lee enjoyed knitting and crocheting afghans and washcloths. She owned and ran her own ceramic shop called Lee's Ceramic; she loved her dog, Cuddles; she loved her grandkids; she loved going to the lake in the summer months; she loved going to rummage sales; and she also collected Elvis memorabilia & stuffed monkeys. Lee was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Don of Thief River Falls, MN; loving daughters, Linda (Keith) Erickson of Thief River Falls and Pam (Neil) Konickson of Plummer, MN; daughter-in-law, Mel Brown of Thief River Falls; 8 grandchildren, Ryan, Amanda, Dustin, Justin, Cheryl, Kelsey, Alexis, Kayla; 12 great-grandchidren; 7 siblings, Rudy Lanska, Dennis (Jean) Lanska, Ron (Elaine) Lanska, Beverly (Bob) Pluth, Terrence Lanska, Larry Lanska and Lolly (Bill) Lanska-Morin; and many other relatives and friends. Lee is preceded in death by her son, Michael; granddaughter, Brandy; parents; and her mother & father-in-law, Blanche and Oscar Brown.
