Leo Musil, 80, of rural Red Lake Falls, MN died on Wednesday, February 14, 2001 at the Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN. Arrangements with Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2001 at 2:00 PM in Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls with Father David Super officiating. Burial will be held in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the Funeral Home only.

Leo William Musil was born March 13, 1920 in Red Lake Falls, MN son of the late Frank and Kate (Kuld) Musil. He was raised in the Red Lake Falls area and attended school here graduating from Lafayette High School in 1938. He entered the US Navy serving over seas from September 28, 1942 until his honorable discharge on January 1, 1946. Leo returned to Red Lake Falls where he was united in marriage to Veo Paul. The couple lived in Red Lake Falls where Leo farmed his home farm and worked for the Red Lake Electric Coop until his retirement in 1983. Veo passed away June 7, 2000.
Leo was a member of the Red Lake Falls American Legion, the sportsmans club, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and always had a garden.
Leo is survived by his two daughters Mary (Louie) Toulouse of Emmons, MN and Pam (Al) Walker of Red Lake Falls, MN; grandchildren Bill (Traci) Toulouse, Jim Toulouse, Anne Toulouse, Amy (Bryan) Kinsella, Becky (Grant) Frenzel and Katie Walker: two great-grandchildren Courtney Jean Toulouse and Jacob Daniel Frenzel. One sister Florence Christianson of Hutchinson, MN: sisters-in-law Leah Musil of Cave Junction, OR; Mavis (William) Veano of Newport Beach, CA and Lorna Quiggle of Bakers Field, CA: many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Veo; parents, brother Larry Musil and brothers-in-law Bob Quiggle and Carl Christianson.
