Leonard Reindal, 90, formerly of Trail, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Midway Care Center, Fosston, MN.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, August 25, 2008 at Johnson Funeral Service, Oklee, MN with Rev. Tim Lundeen officiating. Burial will follow in Clearwater Cemetery, rural Oklee, MN.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Leonard Melvin Reindal was born November 28, 1917 on the family farm in rural Trail, MN, the son of Theodore and Valborg (Bjorgum) Reindal. He was baptized and confirmed at Clearwater Lutheran Church and attended country school. He left the area in his young years to work on a ranch in Montana. After a few years, he moved to Wyoming where he worked his brothers on a ranch. He also had a repair garage in Wyoming for a few years. Leonard returned to the Trail area in the mid 50s and worked as a mechanic in various garages. He then started doing repair work at his own home. He fixed all sorts of things including tractors, automobiles, and small engines. He was often seen riding around Trail on his six wheeler. He lived in Trail until he had an accident about a year ago and then moved to the nursing home in Fosston.

Leonard is survived by one brother Sidney (Hedy) Reindal, of Tower, MN, five sisters, Evelyn Lillo of Roseau, MN, Gladys Reindal, of Thief River Falls, MN, Olga Dahlen of Thief River Falls, MN, and Corrine Roisland of Thief River Falls, MN, and Dellys Reindal of Pennsylvania, sister in law Virginia Reindal, Story, WY, and many nieces and nephews.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Harold and Kent.
