Leora Paquin, 95, of Mentor, MN died on Wednesday, December 20, 2000 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN. Arrangements with Johnson Funeral service in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2000 at 11:00 AM in Faith Lutheran Church in Mentor, MN with Reverend Sylvia Jerdee Officiating. Burial will be held in the Resurrection Cemetery in East Grand Forks, MN.

Visitation will be held on Friday, 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at the Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services in the church on Saturday.

Leora Louise Krueger was born May 12, 1905 in Red Lake Falls, MN daughter of the late William and Louise (Gerlach) Krueger. She was raised in Red Lake Falls and attended school here graduating from Lafayette High School in 1922. She attended the University of North Dakota. Leora taught in Red Lake County for many years. On December 30, 1936 she was married to Arthur Paquin at Argyle, MN. The couple lived in McIntosh and Erskine, MN for a short time, they moved to East Grand Forks, MN in 1943. Arthur passed away on December 15, 1971. Leora moved to Mentor, MN in 1987 and resided there until March 19, 1999 when she entered the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine.
Leora was active in her church, school and the scouts. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed canning and gardening and loved to cook. Leora helped the boys with farm work well into her 70s.
She is survived by her two sons Richard (Debbie) Paquin of Mentor, MN and David (Nancy) Paquin of Mentor, MN: 7 grandchildren and 5 great"grandchildren. One sister Bette McAnulty and several nieces and nephews.
Leora is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Irene Hance.
