Leroy "Lee" Krbechek, 77, of Salinas, California, passed away December 13, 2011, in Salinas. He was born May 21, 1934, in Minnesota. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Czech National Cemetery in Goodridge, MN with Rev. Bob Dahlen Officiating. Lunch and fellowship to follow at the Dave and Mary Ann Sjulestad Farm, rural Goodridge, MN. He lived the American Dream. Lee was raised on a small farm without running water in Goodridge, MN, and then went on to work on rocket fuel for the Air Force and Space program. Lee worked hard on the farm, concentrated on his studies, and then earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Michigan. He met his wife, Blanche Mueller while in graduate school. He passed away a happy and successful man. Lee will be placed in the plot next to his Czech immigrant grandparents, near the family farm. Throughout his 38 year career he enjoyed working on the bench' and created 78 U.S. Patents. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and Organic Chemistry. We hope he enjoys the big organic chemical research laboratory in Heaven. "God speed, Lee. We will miss you. All our love, Your Family." Survivors include his wife, Blanche; son, Randy; grandson, Franklin; granddaughter, Natalie; son, John; daughter-in-law, Lisa; and sister, Jeanie (Bill) and sister, Viona; almost son, Dave Sjulestad and his wife, Mary Ann. Numerous extended family members and friends also survive him. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Willia, and his daughter, Carrie.
