LeRoy Tanem, 67, died on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

LeRoy Harold Tanem was born August 6, 1939 on the family farm near Bemidji, MN in Beltrami County, the son of Ingmar and Evelyn (Holthusen) Tanem. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith and attended country school near Fourtown, MN.

He worked for Holthusen Construction since the age of 15 and retired in 2002. He also worked for Wheeler Lumber Bridge. LeRoy loved his cattle and running his bulldozer for Holthusens. Most of all, he loved spending time with family.

He is survived by sisters: Judy Tanem, Grygla, MN, Rhodella (Elwood) Teiman, Thief River Falls, MN and Margie (Charles) Cleven, Warroad, MN; brother: Larry Tanem, Moorhead, MN; along with several nieces and nephews.

LeRoy is preceded in death by parents; brothers, Arnold and Jimmy.
