Leslie Flage, 88, died on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, September 13, 2010 at St Johns Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Reverend Rick Hensel officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service on Sunday evening. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Leslie Oren Flage was born on March 6, 1922 in Gervais Township, Red Lake County, MN the son of Oliver and Pauline (Tillman) Flage. He was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN where he was baptized and confirmed. He attended country school and graduated from Lafayette High School, graduating in 1939.

He moved to the family farm where he worked with his parents and eventually took over the farm operation. He spent his whole life caring for the land that he loved and he also had cattle. Leslie enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking.

Leslie served on the Red Lake County Fair Board, Red Lake Federal Credit Union and Community Co-op Store Board for many years. He was a Supervisor of Gervais Township for 30 years, Secretary of the Rural Fire Department for many years, served on the church board, member of MN Farmers Union for many years and held a position in the Red Lake County Farmers Union.

He is survived by a sister Deloris Genereux, Thief River Falls, MN, sister in law Gerry Flage, Red Lake Falls, MN, nieces and nephews: Pam (Jerry) Nelson, Penny (Roger) Dardis, Chuck Flage, Deb (Larry) Grebin, Lon (Lynette) Flage, John (Lynnette) Flage, Judy (Russ) Lentz, Patty (Lonnie) Mott, Lee Genereux, and several great and great great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew Tom Genereux, twin brother Lester, sister Lucille Hill, brothers in law: Sam Genereux and Wayne Hill.
