Lillian Anderson, 93, died on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at Healtheast St. John Hospital, Maplewood, MN.
Lillian Jeanette Larson was born December 15, 1912, in Bray Township, Pennington, County, MN, to the late Emil and Lulu (Drake) Larson. She was baptized and confirmed at Black River Lutheran Church. She grew up and attended rural Bray Blooming School in Bray Township.
On September 22, 1940, Lillian was united in marriage to Archie Anderson in Bray Township. Following their marriage, the couple lived in California for two years. She worked at Mercy Hospital for a time, was a baker at Franklin School for 5 ½ years and had worked as a cook for the Sales Barn. The couple also operated the Double O Caf.
Lillian was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of a Circle. She loved to bake, garden, grow flowers, dance, belonged to Helperets in Rocksbury Township and played accordion along with Larson family friend, Uncle Bill and his fiddle for many local dances and house parties.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Hicks, St. Paul, MN; son, Dennis (special friend Kati Anderson) Anderson, Fridley, MN; a grandson Todd (Chris) Mittelstadt, Shakopee, MN; sister, Irene Christenson, Minneapolis, MN; sisters in law Alma Larson, Red lake Falls, MN, Marion Anderson Anchorage, Alaska; many nieces and nephews and special friend and caregiver Brenda Nikkila.
Preceded in death by husband Archie, May 11, 1982, parents, sisters, Hattie Melin, Dora Pearson and Lulu Mosbeck; brothers, Walter, Roy and Harry Larson.
