Lillian Hince, 92, of Brooks, MN died on Sunday, June 10, 2001 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN. Arrangements with Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks with Father Tim Bushy Officiating. Burial will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Brooks.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 5 " 8 PM with a 8:00 rosary service at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks and also one hour prior to services in the church on Wednesday.

Lillian Hince was born September 14, 1908 daughter of the late Frank and Della (Hance) Riel in Lambert Township, Red Lake County, MN where she was raised and educated. On August 20, 1928 she was united in marriage to Theodore Hince at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. They lived in Lambert Township until 1939 when the moved into Brooks.
Lillian sewed for many people in Brooks, enjoyed baking, gardening and canning. She will be remembered for her cookies. Her favorite thing she enjoyed was to make quilts, sew and crochet. She liked to play cards and always liked company and visiting with her family. She made and donated a quilt to St. Joseph Catholic Church every year. Theodore passed away October 15, 1983. Lillian has resided at the Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls since October of 1999.
She is survived by her three children Willard (Shirley) Hince of Thief River Falls, MN; Russell (Cheryl) Hince of Brooks, MN; Evangeline (Sherlen) Grove of Brooks, MN; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. One sister Velma Kathman of Thief River Falls, MN; one brother in law and 4 sisters in law.
She is preceded in death by her husband Theodore Hince, one son Duane Hince and one daughter Dolores Burthwick: 5 grandchildren and 9 brothers and sisters.
