Obituary

Lillian Moser, 87, died Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 PM, Monday, August 22, 2005 at St. Josephs Church, Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Tim Bushy presiding. Burial will be at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery, Red Lake Falls.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM, Sunday, August 21, 2005 at St. Josephs Church, Red Lake Falls, with a prayer service at 7 PM and for one hour prior to services on Monday.

Lillian Delores LeRoux was born August 4, 1918 at Superior, WI and raised by her grandparents. She grew up and attended school in Superior.

On July 8, 1937, Lillian was united in marriage to Henry J. Moser at Superior. The couple made their home in Roseau, MN. During World War II, they moved to Superior and after the war moved back to Roseau. In 1952, they moved to Brooks, MN, where they owned and operated the Corner Bar. In 1953, they moved to Fosston, MN, where they owned and operated the Green Lantern Cafe until 1956, when they moved to a farm in Erskine, MN. In 1965, they built a chicken house on the farm and raised 6300 chickens, candled and sold eggs all over the area, until 1978, when Lillian retired. They continued to live on the farm until 1993, when they moved into Red Lake Falls, MN. Lillian lived at Sunview Center, Red Lake Falls for a time and then moved into Hillcrest Nursing Home, Red Lake Falls since October of 2001.

Lillian was a member of St. Josephs Church, Red Lake Falls and past President of Hillcrest Resident Council. She enjoyed hockey and crocheting, was an excellent baker and enjoyed making chocolate chip cookies. She liked to supply treats for Wilcox Plumbing and Heating. Lillian liked to play cards and was a member of the Homemakers Club in Brooks, MN as well as a member of Red Hats.

Survived by a son, Bill (Jean) Moser, Red Lake Falls, MN; grandchildren, Susan (Earl), Kimberly, Karen (Don), Bill (Gayle), Rory (Jodi) and Gary (Nancy); 22 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, Henry, February 13, 1999 and son James, November 1967.
