Linda Magner, of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 14, 2020 at the age of 72.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN, with Rev. Bob Dahlen officiating.  Please bring your lawn chair and practice social distancing.

Visitation will take place from 9:30 AM until 10:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery on Monday.

Linda Louise Jorde was born on July 15, 1948 in Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Clifford and Marzella (Rondorf) Jorde.  She attended school at Steiner Country School for 4 years, Northrop Elementary, and graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls in 1966.

In 1967 Linda was married to Darrell Magner at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls.  Together they made their home in California where their first child, Kimberly was born. They moved to Colorado in 1972 where their second daughter, Kelly was born.

Linda moved back to Minnesota and worked as a trucking dispatcher for many years.  During this time she developed a special relationship with Dennis Bushy.  She enjoyed many years at the lake and hockey arena with him and his family.  The Bushy family has always held a special place in her heart and our family.

Linda enjoyed being at the lake, cooking, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Kim (Dale) Martell of Thief River Falls, MN, and Kelly (Tony) Haneca of Moorhead, MN; granddaughters, Karly and Kendal Martell and Ashlann and Ella Haneca; sister, Ellen (Nels) Lindseth of Thief River Falls, MN; brother, Richard (Sharon) Jorde of Thief River Falls, MN; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by father and mother, Clifford and Marzella Jorde, and her sister, Sharon St. Germain.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley or the Roger Maris Cancer Center.
