Linda Lubitz Pacanowski, 63, died on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Arrowhead Medical Center in Colton, CA.

Memorial services will be held 4:00 PM, Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Ale Tulu officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the Holt Cemetery, Holt, MN.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Linda Kay Lubitz was born on July 28, 1945 in Thief River Falls, MN the daughter of Lawrence and Angeline (Augustine) Lubitz. She attended elementary school at Steiner and graduated from Newfolden High School. Linda worked in Grand Forks, ND where she met her future husband.

On April 13, 1968 she married Duane Pacanowski. They traveled and lived at various Air Force Bases until Duanes retirement from the Air Force. Linda has lived in Victorville, CA for many years. Linda worked as a caregiver in California for many years.

In Lindas younger years, she was active at Silver Creek Lutheran Church in rural Thief River Falls. She was also very active in her church in California.

She is survived by one son, Christopher (Margaret) Pacanowski, Orem, UT, mother Angeline Lubitz Larson, Thief River Falls, MN, 2 brothers John (Sandra) Lubitz, Thief River Falls, MN, Terry (Joan) Lubitz, Thief River Falls, MN, sister LuAnn Giles, Roseville, MN, nephews John (Jesse) Giles, Kimball, MN, David (Michele) Lubitz, Thief River Falls, MN, Dean Lubitz, Thief River Falls, MN, Billy Lubitz, East Grand Forks, MN; Nieces Mary Giles, Forest Lake, MN, Marie (Judd) Risdal, Moorhead, MN, Marsha (Allan) Benson, St. Cloud, MN.
